Having a heck of a time figuring out why I can’t get proper readings from my map sensor. Intermittently setting codes for cylinder fuel trim imbalances on both banks, and according to sensor output and scan tool readings, pulling 8-9 inches of vacuum at idle. While cruising down the highway at around 75% engine load and cruise set, scan tool says it pulls ~20 inches of vacuum. Mechanical vacuum gauge reading at idle is ~17 inches of vacuum. Disconnected the low reference line, ran a ground directly to battery -, verified low resistance and no short to ground on wires 58 & 43, ECM C2, the 5v reference and signal wire for map. Good power and ground, good connection to ecm, brand new sensor, mechanical gauge reads almost double what the sensor is reading, what gives? Does gm have a weird year range for map sensors? Using an 07 2500HD 6.0 sensor from napa, Part # :MPF 319181, OE# 8162499390. Original sensor gets exactly the same readings as new. Im struggling to find where exactly I went wrong. Any help is welcome!
