2008 GMC 2500 HD Duramax glow plugs

      I’ve had a continuing problem with my 2008 GMC 2500 HD Duramax. Starting in May of 2013, the engine light came on with a code that one of the glow plugs was bad. It has now happened 5 times over an 18 month period. The first 3 were covered under the 100,00 mile/5 year drive train warranty, but the last 2 occurances I had to pay out of pocket because it passed the 5 year period. If GM had replaced all 8 initally, I wouldn’t have had to go into service 5 times and paid for a contining known problem.

      @racn24 it’s too bad that your truck is having issues. Have you brought this up to GMC Customer Service?

      2008? Time to trade that baby in!

      Yeah 594XXC, 2008. It is not near time to trade it in, I plan to get many more miles out of it.
