2007 Tahoe 4WD, When driving, especially highway speeds…I get a buzzing sound like almost a grind from the front somewhere. It gets louder with the speed and usually starts around 40mph. I did notice that on right curves on highway it almost goes away but is loud when driving straight or on left curves. When the 4WD actually works and I can use the dial…. I do know if I put it in Auto I get a waah waah waah noise as I drive faster and I turn it back to 2WD.
I replaced the front wheel bearing assemblies back in 2021…Could I have one bad again? Is something going on with my 4WD? I almost never use it because I think I need a new TCCM and I had the transfer case rebuilt back in 2022.
Not sure if this is any help but on my old 2005 , I had a similar noises coming from my driveline and eventually found a bad solenoid on my Transmission that was not allowing my 4wd to fully disengage. In turns on highway it was making very bad noises. Just a thought. Good Luck
