My 2006 Envoy Denali has 104K miles on it. A year ago the load-leveling system began to leak and the back end would bottom out on the springs. This event occurred infrequently at first, but now it happens every time the vehicle is parked. It seems to take a few hours to a day or more to fall down on the springs. Once the engine is started again the onboard air compressor pumps the airbags up to their proper height.
Several questions: 1) Is this common? 2) Does this portend to be an expensive repair? 3) Does it usually require replacing the whole system or is it possible that it is just a frame-mounted valve sticking?
Thanks for your expertise and help!
