so my girlfriends aveo has been parked since 2011 and still has a half tank of gas.
it starts and idles, but the only time it will rev is immediately after it starts, after a second or two passes it will no longer rev.
i am assuming it is because the old gas is bad.
i tried to siphon out the gas with a stiff 1/4″ tube but cannot reach the tank.what is the best way for me to remove the old fuel?
should i mix new fuel and see if it runs better?
should i try and remove the check valve on the fuel intake and jump the fuel pump to run constantly until the tank is low then add fresh gas and fuel system cleaner?
