My transmission won’t shift out of first gear as the trans fluid gets warm. I can drive about 1/2 of a mile it is fine. then the shifts become late There are no codes. when I bought it the previous said after and engine swap is when the condition occurred. EVEN IF I PUT IT in 3rd gear it won’t shift, top speed is about 25 mph. I am getting ready to change the shift solenoids but when I dropped the transmission pan and drained the fluid at the bottom of the fluid in pan is black thick like engine oil there are no metal shaving inside the pan just the black gunk?
