2003 GMC Safari, 120,000k, Auto. Cranks, but fuel pump doesn’t energize, and fuel gauge shows empty when full. Had new fuel pump and filter installed. No change. No spark either, & have not been able to find a wiring fault. New coil, I had checked all fuses and relays, all good, examined all of the wiring harness I could access. After having checked many, many things with different testers by (so-called) mechanics, I think it may be a bad PCM. I’ve looked online at some venders who sell programmed remanufactured (?) PCM’s for around $200. Wading through all the customer reviews, I’m lost. Any recommendations to get a PCM?
The local u-pull-it has swap-outables for Tahoe, etc, for $50.
