2001 GMC Sierra c1500, 5.7l v8 vortec 280,000
Was recently having issues with a rough idle then stall, the idle would remedy when the MAF was unplugged, so I thought this was the problem, replaced then the next day it left me stranded, so far I have replaced the spark plugs and wires, ensured spark, ensured compression, tried spraying carb cleaning down the intake to try to rule out fuel and changed the crankshaft position sensor and still have a no start condition, any thoughts?
Cam position sensor?
I haven’t replaced, I’m under the thought that the camshaft and crank shaft sensors both play a role for the ignition coils to fire, so if I had spark would that be an issue
With the no start condition I’m getting zero fires, it’s just cranking and cranking even after I sprayed carb cleaner into the throttle, still stumped
