Hello friends
suburban 1999 anti-theft passlok vats
I have a problem and I hope to find a professional answer here in the forum since I have become frustrated with the problem.
I have a 1999 GMC SUBURBAN 5.7 L gasoline, The vehicle sat for a while without me using it and the battery was drained and I was unable to start the vehicle even after replacing the battery since the security light was constantly on.
After a test I conducted, I found that the switch must be opened in the ON position for about half an hour. Indeed, after this time, the lamp went out and the car started. This happened every time I disconnected the battery so that it wouldn’t run out and every time I would repeat the process of waiting half an hour for the light to go out and then start the car.
About two months ago I replaced the battery with a new one and performed the story up to 2 times successfully, but for some reason lately the lamp does not turn off and I am unable to start the car (even if I wait over half an hour) the security light stays on and prevents the car from starting. It turns on and turns off after 2-3 seconds since the ignition pump is disconnected from the safety lamp.
Does anyone have an idea and has gone through the above problem how to proceed in order for the vehicle to move?
Is there a way to bypass the security lamp permanently?.
I will keep for any help.
Thank you -
