My 1989 Chevy C2500 has a small block 350 powerplant with only 116,xxx miles, and it drives fine under light acceleration, but whenever I give it about 1/4 throttle the engine runs for a moment then stops producing power, it doesn’t seem to shut off because if I press the gas farther it comes back, or if I let off and press the gas again it comes back, under heavy throttle it runs great then acts like it bogs down and it loses a lot of power, then the service engine soon light comes on and it starts to run fine again in 30-40 seconds. I can’t figure out what’s wrong with it, and nobody around seems to know what’s wrong either.
