Frequently Asked Questions
You can register for a GM Authority account by clicking on the “Register” button at the top right hand side of the website (on the desktop), or at the very bottom of the website (desktop and mobile). On the registration page, simply fill out your username and email address. A password will be emailed to you.
We do not use your email to send you spam or other unsolicited email.
By registering for a free GM Authority account, you gain the ability to comment on our GM News stories and participate in our GM forum discussions using a single account.
You also get priority access to initial features as we roll them out to users.
To change your password, first log in to GM Authority.
Once logged in, click on your username. You will be taken to your profile page.
On your profile page, click “edit” below the profile photo. You will then be presented with a number of fields to change your password.
In order for your picture, also known as avatar, to be displayed next to your name in the comments section of the GM Authority blog or in the GM Authority forum, you will need to create a Gravatar.
Head on over to www.gravatar.org
Sign up for a free account using the email address you used to register for your GM Authority account.
If you are commenting with only your email address (and not a GM Authority account), then use that account when signing up for Gravatar.
Once you’ve signed up for your free Gravatar account and confirmed your email address, upload the picture you’d like to use as your avatar.
That’s it! After a few minutes, you should see the photo you uploaded to Gravatar.org next to all of your comments here on GM Authority.
We no longer offer the option of signing in using a third party service. So if you used to sign in using Facebook, Twitter, Google, or Open ID, please email us at webmail [at] gmauthority [dot] com and we will provide you with a link to create a password for your existing account.
