I still don’t see why GM won’t at least publish the definitions of the order codes. My 2014 Corvette order has been at 4B00 for several weeks, which is supposed to mean “bayed” and waiting for transportation. The other day it went to 4D00 and the GM folks advising us on code status (on the Corvette forums) will only tell me that 4D00 means hold for quality control. So, what does that mean? Has it not yet been to quality control or does it have a problem that needs to be fixed before it will be shipped? Why not just tell us what the darn codes actually mean? We’re not talking about national security or giving a competitive edge to Ford! I see no practical reason for not being more forthcoming with that type of information.
