I ordered my 2015 Suburban in March. It stayed at 1100 for over a month (no explanation from the salesman).

After being a “squeaking wheel” for several weeks, I finally learned that my truck was built over two weeks ago. It has now been at 4B00 for two weeks along with 8,000 other trucks for a CHMSL issue and a tailgate issue among other excuses. The Chevy truck marketing manager, Mark Clawson had no estimate of when my truck will be delivered (it is now 12 weeks since my order was given to the salesman). Out of curiosity, I spoke with a GMC truck salesman on Monday and was told that if a ordered a Yukon XL that day, I “might” get it by Thanksgiving! There is something going on in Arlington about which GM is not talking. When I asked Clawson if my truck would be delivered before the end of June, he said, “No!”

As a former senior project engineer with plant start-up experience, the 2015 truck start-up appears to me to be one of GM’s worst. It certainly doe not seem like a “new” GM to me.
