Having bought several Pontiacs over the past decade or so – I get solicitations from GM periodically that perhaps I’d like to buy a new Buick – to which I reply – ” Bring Back Pontiac !! – dump the UAW – won’t buy another GM until you do ~”
Well here’s the counter-reply from GM:

Periodically we review vehicles to achieve a better balance to meet customer’s needs for quality, style, value and to stay competitive. We found that consumer demand for Pontiac models were not significant enough to continue production. However, if the demand for Pontiac models increases, we will certainly consider offering them again.
