AWD for the win! At least as an option.
Besides the obvious advantages seen at launch, AWD will also add a tremendous advantage in the corners. The C6 has a tough time not sliding out at out-of-the-corner acceleration… whereas the GT-R or something like an R8 doesn’t — both just grip and go, while the Vette’s ass wants to slide.
Arguably, sliding is part of the fun. But not if that results in losing to a competitor on a track Sunday.
Tradition is nice… But progress for the sale of improvement is even better.
