Given the already blistering acceleration of the Corvette, ironing out the drivetrain deficiencies under launch would get it too hook without fail, and would result in something not unlike the speed of light.
Tradition, as always, be damned. There is no need anchor the Corvette to the 1960’s where it’s appeal is limited and dying off.
It is in the Corvette’s best interest to appeal to the greatest number of people and on a global scale, not just an American-centric worldview. If such people favour or have no objections to AWD, then the Corvette has no reason not to pursue, or even investigate, the advantages of such a drivetrain.
