@Rick Burnouts are cool, but useless when it comes to performance; in other words, they are not conducive of a “perfect launch”.
Now, many a Corvette owner use their cars to hit up the twisty tracks on the weekends — and hate getting beat in the corners by all-wheel drive cars that have a clear advantage there. So in this case, the technology (AWD) has a distinct and precise purpose of improving performance and is not useless by any means.
You can get a 911 in RWD or AWD form — and I see no reason why this can’t also be the case when it comes to the Vette.
