On the track — and during autocross events — AWD will assist in putting the power down out of the turns. That’s the problem with the Z06 and ZL1 today — too much power to the rear wheels results in massive tail slide and a moderate disadvantage when going up against the likes of the GT-R, R8, and even crotch rockets like the STi and Evo.
Technology for the sake of technology is dumb; but technology that is useful (in improving performance) is what it’s all about!
