@Vic1212 The 1.4 is an old engine; it has received gradual updates but it’s still a 20-year-old design. GM is working on an all-new design for its small engines that will be more fuel-efficient, much more quiet, and more power-dense.
@Loud_R Not necessarily; an engine isn’t necessarily for a certain-sized car, per se. The 2.5 certainly would fit into the Cruze, but may not deliver much more performance than a 1.6 turbo unit, if any. Albeit, it may not even deliver as high power figures as a 1.6T.
