Re: What does everyone think about the refreshed 2013 F150 and JX?

Looks like I’m a bit late to the party; my apologies, @vic1212 😉 Now:

The F-150 is a winner all around. MyFord Touch has a few glitches here and there, but I’ve never experienced them myself and find the system to be quite intuitive after a brisk 5 minutes of use. Perhaps those who have never used a computer will have problems, but those folks will likely also have issues with a non-touch-screen system. As for the system being in a truck, Ford took particular care to include physical buttons for MFT that can be used in lieu of the touch screen, thus making it easier to use with gloves, dirty hands, etc. And building on what @mozeby said — those with MFT in their F-150s will likely have their hands clean; those with dirty hands are likely to be driving themselves some work trucks. All in all, the F-150 is one solid truck.

Will GM’s next-gen trucks have what it takes to compete with them effectively? I really believe they will, and more. GM has the luxury of two brands here, and it will make good use of them this time around. 😀

As for the JX, the car stems from a lack of financial resources (and lack of commitment) at Nissan to develop a proper set of Infiniti-specific vehicle architectures, so it makes due with a (new) Pathfinder-based chassis. It’s a good CUV, but by no means fits Infiniti’s recent brand of being “performance” this and “sports” that.
