Aside from what little everyone else knows, I suspect that they’re gonna switch to splayed/canted valves. The reasons I say this are two-fold: one, the video posted by Corvette Racing last year showing how the race engine is built showed CG heads that have the valves arranged as such (plus you can clearly see the valves when they show a finished engines sans valve covers). Two, it would be the only way to package the injectors without altering the design too much (they wouldn’t be able to simply drill holes in the existing head designs, as that would put the injectors way too close to the pushrods; if you’ve ever read anything about DI, you know that the injectors are a fair bit bulkier than standard port injectors thanks to the higher fuel pressures present in a DI system). I;ve also heard a couple whispers about GM possibly using a variation on the ‘Cam-in-Cam’ dual VVT technology that was developed for the 08-10 Viper for the Gen V small block.
