I will change fuel brand first before I go to 87 octane. Like I said I did not like the fix. It sound like GM screwed up the works with this Flexfuel engine that should run n high test but does not want to start with high test. Maybe that was the idea for calling it FlexFuel. Start on 87 octane and then run on high test. I need to think about how to do that.
I was dumbfounded when the service tech said i needed to change fuel brand or go to 87 octane. The GMC has over 22K on it burning mostly high test of the same brand.
