Yea the H2 was a class of its own, and it wasnt really a good class to be in. The H2 was not a soft luxury softy that was extremely comfortable with a beautiful interior, rather it looked like a tough brazen off roader and drove like one too, but didnt back it up with actual off roading credentials.
Hummer could have been positioned toward two groups of different people:
1. City people who wanted a SUV that looks tough but is actually a soft luxurious easy to drive and handle car with a nice comfortable interior, a la Range Rover
2. Or people who wanted the tough looks and the looks to be backed up with a truck that can be taken off road, a la wrangler or cherokee
The H2 was neither, thats why it failed.
Again for GM, great idea, wrong execution.
