@DennisRice You’re absolutely right, the Edge and SYNC/MyFord Touch is currently the premier infotainment system in the world that’s capable of using voice commands. MyLink will do much of what SYNC/MyFord Touch does, but a bit better (in my opinion). Unfortunately, the 2012 Equinoxes sold so far don’t have it — as you know 🙁

I would recommend you join up with some of the folks participating in the discussion at the link below. They, too, were told that their 2012 Equinoxes will be equipped with MyLink (or at least be software upgradeable to MyLink):

Some are planning to write to GM to see what can be done on a case-by-case basis for them.
Using Siri through the Bluetooth pass-through is nice, but still doesn’t help the fact that Chevy’s own marketing materials stated a Fall 2011 availability of MyLink.
