Never did I say around 200hp base engine. From one of the very first posts I made in this forum subject Chevy Cruze. I said it would be nice to have engine options for those that wanted engine options. No matter what engine GM is coming out with I stated one engine option for the Cruze that I would go for is the DI2.4L VVT. To have the base 1.4 or 1.8 is fine. Also to have a 220-260hp turbo would get those buyers. And as I’ve said countless times, the Cruze as it is …. is a turd to me. Add 180-190hp non turbo option and I’d most likely already have one.
