In all seriousness though, your definition of bad cars seems to differ greatly from mine. And as an enthusiast, you should be able to think through the business aspect of making mainstream products (cars) consumable by the majority (drivers/car owners). So what constitutes an undesirable product for you is far from being the same for the “regular” driver.
In regards to Civic or Corolla: they’re leaders when it comes to market share. A conversation surrounding their competitors (Cruze) is often incomplete without mentioning those two juggernauts.
Nevertheless, the point is that Ford is coming strong with the Focus line. Not only is it offering the hatch globally, it’s also introducing the ST with a 2.0 liter turbo. And Chevy ain’t got jack to fight it in the States.
