Reply to @yabadabadoo: Got ya. It’s definitely an attractive idea.
The only negative I see in it is the utilization of the production line that could be used for higher-margin (newer) vehicles… but given GM’s manufacturing prowess and stronghold, I wouldn’t say it’s anything but something to discuss and be aware of.
Otherwise, there definitely seems to be a need for this kind of product — something cheap, non-cutting edge, but still “good”.
At this point, “Oldsmobile” takes on an entirely new meaning!
