@ Rick

A tradition is anything anyone has ever done more than once. Period. That includes things like bowel movements, turing lights on and off, using your turn signal, and complaing about the weather.

Here’s the biggest offending statement I’ve read this week: “Tradition…a time honored practice. That is what I think GM should be all about.”

No, GM is a automaker, not a fond memory factory of a time from 50 years ago. GM needs to make cars for the world IN THE PRESENT, not mear shadows of poorly built barges of the past that the world at large doesn’t want.

What you’re confusing GM with is not automaker, but an old dusty photo album grandma keeps on the coffee table. If you want tradition, I suggest your visit her.

As before, screw tradition and screw the old namesplates. That also extends to the Commodore nameplate. It’s already in place and doesn’t need to change. If it were to die tommorow, there would be no need to resurect it 20 or 30 years from now for the sake of a petty “tradition” of the weak.

Holden can keep the old Commodore name, it isn’t hurting them (yet). As for the SS and as I’ve said before, N^4.

New muscle.
New names.
New history.
No baggage.
