This is all thanks to the fact that the Equinox/Terrain is a compact CUV masquerading in midsize clothing. What needs to happen is a new compact crossover (like Escape/Tiguan/CR-V/RAV4/Tucson/Sportage) and a new midsize one (Edge, Highlander, new Santa-Fe)… with real features of a mid-sized family vehicle (such as rear-seat A/C).
