2023 Denali – not yet for me, but on two occasions it did seem to unlock it self a couple of times while eating lunch. I’m that person that – when possible – parks such that they can ‘watch’ over the truck while eating 🙂

So now I just keep an eye on the mirrors. Figured my not so loose jeans and a wrist on my thigh with just the right amount of pressure on just the right spot caused the unlock – on two different occasions.

Mine did auto-start once. For the very first time – I just don’t use that feature. I was loading the truck bed with tree limbs and nearly —- my pants when it started up. Right away noticed my right pocket was leaning against the tailgate. Autostart is not a single push, right? I doubt I could ever intentionally repeat that.

I wish there were an on/off switch on the fob – for the buttons. I never use them. Pocket, purse, belt loop, fanny pack, there’s just too much opportunity for accidental activation with those buttons flush to the surface of the fob.

NEVER had this problem with my 2011 Accord. Those buttons recessed.

I also keep my fobs in one of those boxes that prevents access to them via radio signals. I don’t think it’s been an issue near me but the reports I saw from CA showed how easily those fobs could be compromised while sitting on your dresser and someone just drives away while your sleeping. Again, a different on/off switch to shutdown the radio in the fob would fix that. Then the other to disable the buttons for those who never use them. It might be cool/fun to open the tailgate while walking up to the truck, but I’d give that up to keep my truck from unlocking itself or getting stolen.
