Thanks for your helpful information .. 2 weeks ago I purchased a 2013 SRX from a local GM Dealer. Love the car, and I’ve been studying up on CUE. What I discovered is that my particular vehicle did not have original factory navigation installed. This was a shock to me, as the SRX is a Luxury Edition that originally stickered for 57K. It’s also deceiving, as my navigation button on the CUE screen is the same that one would see with the factory module properly installed. When I press MY nav button, it takes me to a useless screen prompting me to subscribe to OnStar for “turn-by-turn” directions. ($300/yr). To me, that’s not true navigation at all. Plus I have to pay for it. The dealership had a contractor come out and install what is supposed to be a brand new GM authorized CUE system. (this is a major job as you have to go up through the dash as I’m sure you’re aware). However, the ‘new’ navigation is a joke and shows us climbing over tall buildings and turning onto non-existent streets. I’m now on my second try with the dealership and another replacement module with my fingers crossed. However, my larger point is that Cadillac is making cars without true navigation and seeming to represent them otherwise. If folks aren’t careful (especially buying used), they could end up in this frustrating scenario as well. Thanks for hearing me out!
