I believe they are still using the 6L80E transmission in the 6-speed models. While I wish you and your new truck nothing but the best, I do hope GM has addressed the torque converter issues in this unit, as they’ve been a significant problem so far.

Since 2020, the electrical and computer-related issues have skyrocketed, with Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) after TSB being issued. It feels like government-imposed fuel economy mandates are forcing automakers to roll out changes before they’ve had enough time to complete all the necessary research and development. I would not be surprised at all if your issue is not electrical, maybe the transmission module.
Unfortunately, U.S. manufacturers seem to be facing more challenges in this area compared to others. It reminds me of the COVID vaccine rollout—pushed out quickly, with insufficient research. The U.S. government’s pressure on automakers to meet fuel economy targets and accelerate the shift to EVs is immense, but it doesn’t feel sustainable. I wish you the best with your new truck, I would put some serious pressure on the dealer where you purchased the truck, call the hotline. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. See ya, Happy holidays
PS, I have been in the automotive tire and repair business going on my 47th year ….
