Your point about the invoice is a good one, @Z15. But law hasn’t stopped dealers from doing things like this in the past, has it? 😉
You also make a good point about the time it would take for the vehicle to arrive: let’s say that you sign the paperwork on a just-produced vehicle with a VIN today to take advantage of your GM points, yet it takes another 5 weeks for the vehicle to arrive to the dealer from the factory.
During that time frame, you will have already made 1 payment for a vehicle that you’re not driving, and your warranty will be 5 weeks less of original. Just some things to consider…
