Well, here it is 2024 and it’s still buyer beware. We got (several) email notifying us the the nav update for our 2020 Traverse IS $50 OFF! so we decided to spend the $100. We’re in a newish house (18 months) in a newish subdivision (24 month) and the neighborhood is not on the 2020’s maps so it would be nice to have the update.
Lo and behold, we are NOT on the update. Checked several changes I know of in the past couple years and they ARE not on the update. So we got an UPDATE the was at least two years out of date.
One other thing, I was a coder at one time, and tangentially connected to a group doing GIS. It should be absolutely no problem to produce an update on demand that is actually up to date in no time. And it should not cost $150. Seriously, think I’ll explore the formats on the old card and see what I can do.
