I ordered a 2015 Sierra 1500 SLT 6.2 heavy duty everything for towing on September 13. No one told me otherwise and I expected to get my new truck in 6-8 weeks as I have with several special ordered vehicles before. After that period of time went by and no good answers where my truck is, I got a little intense with the Sales guy at Alan Jay in Sebring, FL. He finally called me and told me that the proposed build date for my truck would be Feb. 17 2015! Expected delivery would be 4 – 5 weeks after that probably at the end of March. I was stunned and would have cancelled the order on the spot except that I have already purchased a new hard tonneau cover painted to the body color. I don’t plan to order any more vehicles from G.M. and unless this truck turns out to be totally amazing, it will be my last General Motors vehicle. 6 months to order a vehicle is absolutely unacceptable.
