So after reading all the posts I find a common thread. There is commonality in the complaints.
Here’s what I have done. I did a “Chat” session and got nowhere except that this should go to the service department so the malfunction can be reported. I have also emailed a request to GM using their website. After that I will find Directors and those higher up and email them with links to this forum. Maybe we all should so that.
With that said, we just purchased a new 2015 Corvette and have the same problems. I have tried a USB Storage device and it plays about 3 songs and quits. Then I tried another iPod Classic and it basically finally just stopped and went back to Radio.
The really frustrating part is that both of these iPod’s worked perfectly without any problems in our 2012 Corvette. I could select playlists, artists, etc on the screen and it was wonderful because I never had to listen to talking heads on the radio.
So I would have to say there is something either wrong with MyLink programming or the system somehow itself locks out USB ports after so long in use, though that’s pretty farfetched. In any event it’s programming most likely.
