Reply To: New 8-speed unfair to early buyers of 2015 Yukon Denali with 6.2L V8 L86

I ordered my Denali 8 speed 6.2 sept 24 and almost exactly 6 weeks later it came in.
Tell you what order a 2500 denali diesel and I’ll trade you and pay difference.
This truck is a POS.
When you accelerate from a stop there is a clunk from front end that is intermittent. Dealer says I may want to take it to who did the 2.5″ level kit. The same place dealer sends their trucks to get leveled and lifted and the same brand. I just took it there myself so I could have truck a few days earlier.
There is also a shutter in the motor at 4000 rpm that you can feel and hear. They said they don’t feel it.
I ask them if there is an update or any change they can make to transmission for the horrible shift points and pressure.

It feels like it’s gonna fall apart or blow up when you get on it to pass someone.
The 5.3 has more pep than this garbage. Especially with their higher gear ratio.
Gotta go this morning 10 am to pick it back up, and I can see how many more scratches and swirls their detailer put on it.
Oh yeah, paid for a package to coat leather and front end for bugs and stains. Kinda like a insurance for love bug season down here. 3 times it took them to do it right. Detailer gave it back and you could see blotches on leather where he didn’t coat whole area. Back of headrests looking like it was running down and he never even wiped it. 50,000 truck and it looked better without the coating or even straight from factory.
I’m starting to think my dealer is just an oil change shop.
And to make it worse they say a simple and conservative aftermarket tranny tune will void warranty.
Shoulda stayed with ford or bought the duramax , their only decent product.
It wouldn’t be so bad if they would just fix the crap instead they look at you like your crazy and never driven a vehicle before. Like we are supposed to be amazed at the technology.
Don’t they know there are comparison trucks so we know how one feels and all.
Bottom line is 6.2 8speed 342 gears sucks. Sluggish needs tune. Hell I coulda got a raptor for this money.
