Reply To: New 8-speed unfair to early buyers of 2015 Yukon Denali with 6.2L V8 L86

I purchased a Yukon SLT in last June and knu the 8speed was coming sooner or later. I had a choice not to buy the ’15.. and wait til the ’16.. but bought anyway. I am as happy as a pg in slop especially since I tuned the vehicle to eliminate Torque Management, and Electronic Throttle delay. Quite frankly I would have held off on the 8speed anyway until the ’17.

Bottom line is that buying a first year GM vehicle, with as many augmentations and upgrades they do these days from year to year is a buyer risk IF.. having the latest new thing is your bag. To add to that I also bought a ’14 Stingray Z51 M7 in Feb. I missed out on PDL, and had I wanted an 8Speed Auto (which I wouldn’t in a Sports car)I would have had to pound sand and trade. Turns out buying in GM saved me about $4000 as they raised the price a few days after I bought
