Reply To: Catalytic Converter and Flex Pipe Warranty?

It’s not necessarily about the part itself, although it’s annoying that it was backordered. Rather its the fact that the dealer goes with their own narrative in saying that somehow the exhaust pipe cracked which led to the catalytic converter failing, thus making it an out of pocket expense for me to fix the pipe. They just completed the repair and charged me over $600 to repair the flex pipe despite me arguing that it should be covered. I will keep trying to get the warranty honored entirely with GM.
Anyone have the same issue and have success getting GM to honor the flex pipe repair along with the catalytic converter under the emissions warranty?
