I wish I had done more research on the many problems this vehicle is experiencing. I love the way this truck drives and feels on the road. But is this Denali really worthy of being called a Denali? Good question. JMO, it’s missing some goodies that should have been on this vehicle for the price they are asking for these. The headlight & fog light switch should have been left on the dash and not controlled by the Infotainment screen (as the headlights went out on me because the Infotainment screen went black while driving on the freeway at night – safety issue for sure). No automatic folding mirrors which are just a little too small – blind spot is apparent. No front object sensors. Useless side steps (should be automatic that open lower to be somewhat useful). I am 6ft, so I don’t need them getting in or out. They have a tendency to scrap my calf every time I get out of the vehicle. Even my wife 5’6″ doesn’t need them to get out of the truck, only while getting in. Could be a problem off roading depending on terrain. If you want to use Homelink to control your garage door, etc. You have to get an aftermarket rear view mirror installed.
Although the 4 banger turbo produces 310HP and performs well, I wish they would have left the diesel and a 6 cylinder with more power options. But overall, it is still a good vehicle but falls short because many electronic problems (no specific fix for this yet) and the price. With this ’23 covering new ground, the problems that are encountered are leaving new owners as Guinea pigs. With so much being controlled at the Infotainment screen, you will kick yourself in the rear if you don’t purchase an extended bumper to bumper warranty to give yourself peace of mind. Could cost you an arm and a leg later.
I was able to see what the new Ford Ranger Raptor offering on display. It has everything the Denali should be and priced in the same ballpark. Being impulsive bit me in the rear big time.
