Still interesting…I went to the dealer again today (after ordering on January 18) and the dealer once again told me there is no order number until the truck is actually being built.
So I asked him if, hypothetically, he ordered 20 vehicles and then a few weeks later wanted to check on the status of one – how could he contact GM requesting that information if he didn’t have an order number to refer to? He had no answer.
