Ordering at the dealership was simple…I went online to build it before seeing the dealer and just built it with the salesman from my printout of options.
However, he could not give me and order number…told me that he wouldn’t get it until GM builds it…then they’ll give me the “build number.”
Seems odd, I don’t even get acknowledgement of an order until they build it?
I’ve read different things on this forum that say the dealer has to send in the order and then GM will have to “accept” the order, acknowledge it, I guess, and then production “status” codes are assigned to the build as it progresses.
My issue is that the dealer low balled me on the trade in value of my 2016 Colorado so I’ll sell it myself. However, I don’t want to sell it without knowing when the new truck will be in. Puts me in a bind.
