22 refreshed Trail Boss. My trailer brake controller did the same as the OP. Onstar diagnostics were vastly different. Network communications error with various modules. No help needless to say.
I scheduled an appointment with the service department of the dealer I bought it from. Diagnostics came back with a defective controller. Service department had it replaced within a few hours. No issues since 🙂
