The lane assist is defeatable. You can turn it on with a button. It’s a part of the “drivers assist “ feature, but you can turn that part on and off. I leave it off, what remains is the “front scanning” feature that keeps an eye of the vehicle inFRONT of you, whether your approaching it too fast or it’s slowing down while you still going.
It works very well so don’t be put off by the tech. This community is here to help each other with stuff like this.
They really are great vehicles!
