#reboot – of course.
I was thinking about all the tech in these vehicles lately and wishing they would just hide away a bright red reset button somewhere. There’s just so many things that they can’t possibly model ALL the circumstances a vehicle might encounter in the software. When I first started reading your post I was thinking it was leading to the vehicle steering you into the wrong place at the wrong time. This will be my first vehicle with that tech and an experience in a rental a few years ago spooked me. All because they left too dark an area in the pavement where they sandblasted out a white stripe that had been present during construction. When the vehicle spotted that darker area of the pavement, it started steering and freaked me out.
Excellent post – saving this GEM in my FYI folder. I’m getting a Denali so while the specifics will likely differ, the concept is very likely the same.
