“Intended for resale” doesn’t apply to end-user consumers. That’s just so a “reseller-for-profit” doesn’t buy the car with the intention of flipping it. You are free to resell or trade your vehicle as soon as you have a valid title to transfer it. At that point it’s a used car. I’m not sure what you mean by “passing on the rebate amount to the next buyer,” but that is NOT possible. And I’m not sure if the USED EV $4,000 federal rebate, beginning January 1, 2023, is applicable for private-party sales or only licensed dealer sales. In any case, I’m sure you know that your $6,300 GM rebate has absolutely nothing to do with a federal rebate, except that those GM rebates may become few and far between, once the feds (actually all of us) are footing the bill for them. I intend to get one on my 2024 Equinox EV 3LT or 3RS next fall, when I trade my trade-repurchase 2023 Bolt EUV Premier…if it ever gets here. It will be my third federal rebate (2014 and 2018 Volts were the first two).
