If you hear anything, please let us know. I have exactly the same problem with my 2012 Cadillac SRX. I am pretty sure my unit is 3G but 3G is dying/dead, too. Without an upgrade, there is no point in having OnStar. Their “dongle” solution is sketchy, at best. Thanks.
