I spoke with 3 “live agents” and my dealership yesterday.
2 agents told me that the truck was awaiting production scheduling (status 3000). Both of these agents also took the time to confirm my e-mail address and Cell number during the chat session.
The 3rd agent who told me the truck was already built never bothered to confirm who I was.
I contacted my dealership and 3 hrs later they came back with a Wk of 9/26 production slot.
Still not sure why my dealer could get a date when I couldn’t, but it’s clear that like any other large company, GM isn’t immune to having bad apples in the bunch who barely go through the motion of doing their jobs. I’d hate to say it’s a lazy work ethic created by laxed work conditions brought about by Covid because today’s bad workers were probably bad to begin with…
I’ll probably try another live agent next week to cross confirm the info received from my dealership yesterday.
