Yes it seems unfair but what can we do about it? Nothing. If I was ordering one now, I’d cancel my order til I knew I’d be getting the 8 speed. GM jacked the price for the 6.2 which shows it includes the 8 speed. 2014 owners put these trucks on display, now later buyers get a better equipped vehicle – kinda sucks doesn’t it. Oh well.
