Reply To: 2022 Chevy Silverado HD 2500 order

I bought my truck Dec. 31 2021, a 2022 3500 HD LTZ, the dealership told me to expect the truck in 6-8 weeks. I didn’t want to bother the dealership because I figured they get calls for updates often and they told me they would call me for any updates so I just used Chevy.com chat to find out about my truck after a couple weeks of waiting. Mid January using Chevy.com chat I found out my truck was “completed” and “should be on the way to the dealership.” So I waited a week after that and called the dealership because I was thinking it shouldn’t take longer than a week to get to the dealership if it was coming by truck, they initially told me they didn’t have any updates but I told them that according to Chevy.com the truck is completed and on the way, after that they told me “oh yes, it looks like your truck has left the factory but now is sitting in a yard waiting for the bed liner.” I asked for an updated timeframe and they again told me 6-8 weeks from the day I bought it so I was thinking okay end of February. Mid February I get the title of my truck in the mail, hadn’t heard from the dealership so again I log onto Chevy.com chat and ask for updates. Chevy.com told me there were no further updates and the last update was the only thing they could tell me and I’d have to check with my dealership for further updates. Towards the end of February I get a call from the dealership, however it was just the secretary calling to let me know they got my license plates in and I could come pick them up. I go into the dealership the first week of March to get my plates and ask for an update. According to the dealership they told me my truck was sitting at the train yard in Michigan waiting to be shipped to Utah, I said okay and asked for an updated time frame; is it going to be a few more weeks or a few more months, they told me end of March. I get a call end of March and they just tell me there are no updates. I asked if it’s just sitting in Michigan can I just fly out there and pick it up myself, what is the hold up, like before they said it was waiting bedliner etc and now it’s just sitting at the train yard waiting to be shipped?…why is it not coming by truck? Is it waiting on parts or anything? The dealership has no answers, they keep giving unrealistic time frames and Chevy.com chat can give no further info. Now it’s the first week of April, I’m sitting here with the license plates and title for my truck but no truck.
